Teaching & Facilitation
Jardena is an adjunct voice instructor at New York University and is now accepting private voice students in upper Manhattan and via zoom. Her teaching philosophy combines evidence-based vocal pedagogy with a deep love for singing and personal expression. Her teaching encourages students to develop an appreciation for vocal art, challenge themselves, and cultivate artistic autonomy.
Jardena co-authored a workshop entitled artistry|agency|autonomy with Gwenna Fairchild-Taylor, exploring bodily autonomy and boundary-setting, and designed to empower operatic artists and their artmaking. The workshop is especially suited for undergraduate voice students and young artists, and can be held both in-person and online. The workshop was produced by Our Singing Bodies in collaboration with Opera InReach and was funded by a digital arts grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.
The workshop has been presented for Pacific Opera Victoria and the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and will be presented at Bucknell University in the Spring of 2025. Please use the contact button above to reach out with interest.
