Our Singing Bodies

Our Singing Bodies is a multi-media project created and curated by Jardena Gertler-Jaffe. OSB provides a platform for singers to make art about their bodies in singing, and is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit service organization.

New submissions are always welcome! Visit the website for work by participant artists and much more information.

Teaching & Facilitation

Jardena is now accepting private voice students in the Upper Hudson Valley and via zoom. Her teaching encourages students to take joy in singing, and find ease and comfort in their bodies. Jardena also substitute teaches at the Bard College Conservatory Preparatory Division.

Jardena co-authored a workshop entitled artistry|agency|autonomy with Gwenna Fairchild-Taylor exploring bodily autonomy and boundary-setting, designed to empower operatic artists and their artmaking. The workshop is especially suited for undergraduate voice students and young artists, and can be held both in-person and online. The workshop was produced by Our Singing Bodies in collaboration with Opera InReach and was funded by a digital arts grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.

Sparks & Wiry Cries

Jardena is the digital content producer for Sparks & Wiry Cries. Sparks & Wiry Cries is a non-profit dedicated to the promotion and creation of Art Song. They are known for such ground-breaking projects such as the songSLAM competition and world premiere commissions like Songs in Flight.
